Hurley Hospice Volunteer Services:

Who becomes a hospice volunteer?
People who care. People from all walks of life. They may be professionals, students, blue collar workers, or homemakers. Some people volunteer because they have had someone in their family who was in hospice and they liked the care they received.

Why Does a Patient Need a Volunteer?
Volunteers can help with physical care of the patient while the caregiver runs errands, goes to medical appointments, or takes a nap. They do household jobs, and provide grief support. Volunteers also help out at Camp Brave Hearts – loads of fun!

Our Volunteers go through a screening and training process. To learn more about the volunteer services please call the Volunteer Coordinator at
